How it works

  1. 01 Choose or drop one or more TIFF or TIF files.
  2. 02 Keep quality 90, or lower it for smaller email attachments.
  3. 03 Press Convert.
  4. 04 Download the JPG pages one by one or all together as a ZIP.

About this tool

TIFF is the format of scanners, fax servers, archives and print workflows. It keeps images at full quality and can hold many pages in one file, which also makes it heavy and awkward to share: browsers do not display it, and email services, messengers and web forms often refuse it. JPG is the practical format for passing scans and photos along.

This converter reads TIFF files with LZW, Deflate, PackBits, JPEG and CCITT G4 compression, including CMYK and 16-bit images, and writes a JPG for every page. A three-page scan becomes three numbered JPG files you can download together as a ZIP. The work happens entirely in your browser, which matters for scanned contracts, IDs and medical records.

  • Every page of a multi-page TIFF

Each page becomes its own JPG, named with the page number, so the order is never lost.

  • Scanner compressions supported

LZW, Deflate, PackBits, JPEG-in-TIFF and CCITT Group 4 fax images all decode.

  • CMYK and 16-bit input

Print-ready CMYK and high-bit-depth files are converted to standard 8-bit RGB for screens.

  • Confidential scans stay local

Contracts, passports and medical papers are converted on your device, not on a server.

Questions and answers

How is a multi-page TIFF converted to JPG?

A JPG holds one image, so every page becomes a separate file named like scan-1.jpg, scan-2.jpg and so on. If you want a single document instead, use TIFF to PDF.

Are the colours of a CMYK TIFF preserved?

CMYK is converted to RGB with a standard formula, which is close but not colour-managed. For press work, convert with the printer’s profile in a professional tool.

Will a black-and-white fax TIFF look right?

Yes, CCITT G4 fax images decode cleanly. For line art and text, PNG can be even sharper than JPG and still small.

Why is the JPG so much smaller than the TIFF?

TIFF files are often uncompressed or losslessly compressed. JPG uses lossy compression tuned to human vision, which typically saves 80–95% at quality 90.
