Free · fair-use limits · files up to 50 MB · up to 500 pages

How it works

  1. 01 In Excel, set the print area and orientation if the table is wide.
  2. 02 Choose the XLSX, XLS or ODS file (up to 50 MB).
  3. 03 Press Convert in cloud.
  4. 04 Download the PDF and send it instead of the workbook.

About this tool

When a price list, timesheet or budget goes out as a PDF, the recipient sees the numbers exactly as you arranged them and cannot break a formula by accident.

The converter reads XLSX, XLS and ODS workbooks with LibreOffice Calc on our server (France). It follows the page setup stored in the file: print areas, landscape or portrait, fit-to-width scaling, repeated title rows and manual page breaks. Each visible sheet with data turns into pages of a single PDF, and cells show their calculated values. The workbook is uploaded only after you press convert, it is erased once the PDF exists, and the PDF itself is removed 15 or 60 minutes after job creation or right after download, as you choose.

  • Your page setup is respected

Orientation, margins, fit-to-page scaling and title rows saved in the workbook decide how the PDF pages look.

  • Values instead of formulas

The PDF contains what the cells display. Formulas, hidden columns and cell comments are not printed unless the sheet is set up to print them.

  • Every sheet in one document

All visible worksheets that contain data are exported in tab order, so a multi-sheet report arrives as one file.

Questions and answers

Why is my wide Excel table split over several PDF pages?

The PDF follows the page setup of the workbook. In Excel choose Page Layout, set Orientation to Landscape and Scaling to Fit All Columns on One Page, save the file and convert it again.

Are hidden sheets included in the PDF?

No. Hidden worksheets are skipped, just like when you print. Unhide a sheet in Excel before converting if it has to be part of the PDF.

Will the PDF show my formulas?

It shows the results that the cells display. Formula text appears only if the sheet was switched to show formulas before saving.

Can I convert a CSV file on this page?

This page expects a real workbook: XLSX, XLS or ODS. Open the CSV in a spreadsheet program, save it as XLSX and convert that copy.

What happens to my spreadsheet after the conversion?

The uploaded workbook is scheduled for deletion from the server the moment the PDF is ready. The PDF waits for you until the deletion time you picked, and you can erase it earlier with Delete from server now.
