About this tool
Draw, type or upload a signature image and place it on the PDF. Processing runs in this browser tab. Keep control of the original and downloaded copies, and confirm the recipient accepts this type of signature. The tool adds a visible signature image. It does not verify identity or create a certificate or qualified electronic signature. Legal effect and acceptance depend on applicable law, the document and the recipient; confirm the requirements before relying on it.
-
Three ways to sign
Draw with a mouse, touchpad or finger, type your name, or upload a scan of your handwritten signature.
-
Placed exactly
Drag and resize the signature on the page preview, or nudge it with the keyboard. Rotated pages are handled correctly.
-
Initials on every page
Put the same signature on several pages, for example initials at the bottom of each page of a contract.
-
Never stored
Your signature exists only in this tab while you work. It is not uploaded, saved to an account or reused later.
Questions and answers
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
The tool adds a visible signature image. It does not verify identity or create a certificate or qualified electronic signature. Legal effect and acceptance depend on applicable law, the document and the recipient; confirm the requirements before relying on it.
What happens to existing digital signatures in the PDF?
Adding anything to a digitally signed PDF invalidates those signatures, and we warn you when a file has them. Sign a copy, or ask the sender for an unsigned version.
Can I sign a PDF on my phone?
Yes. Draw the signature with your finger, place it on the page preview and download the signed PDF; everything runs in the mobile browser.
Is my signature saved anywhere?
No. It is kept in the memory of this browser tab only while you work, and it is never sent to a server.
Can I add my signature to several pages?
Yes. Place it on each page that needs it — for example initials on every page and a full signature on the last one.
Can I sign a scanned PDF?
Yes. The signature image is placed on top of the scanned page just as on any other PDF.
