Conversion, OCR and compression
Conversion and OCR can misread characters and numbers, omit content, or change layout, fonts, tables, links and accessibility information. Compression can reduce image quality and may not reduce every file’s size. Editing can invalidate existing digital signatures. Compare the result with the original, especially before signing, submitting or publishing it.
Signatures
Placing a drawn, typed or uploaded signature on a document adds a visual mark. It does not by itself provide a qualified electronic signature, verify identity or establish signing authority. Legal effect depends on the circumstances and applicable law; check the recipient’s requirements.
Redaction and metadata
Covering visible content, applying redaction or removing metadata should not be treated as proof of complete anonymisation. Hidden text, attachments, layers, embedded objects or other identifying information may require separate inspection. Review the downloaded file with suitable tools before sharing sensitive material.
Storage, security and your rights
Keep originals and independent backups. Processing, downloads and deletion mechanisms can be affected by faults or interruptions; no software can offer absolute security or freedom from errors. See the Privacy Policy for processing and retention details.
