About this tool
Wide white margins make a PDF hard to read on a phone, and a scan often includes the edge of the scanner lid or a neighbouring page. Set how much to cut from each side, or draw a frame around the part you want to keep, then apply it to every page or just a range. Margins are measured on the page as you see it, so rotated and landscape pages crop the way you expect. Text, images and fonts are not re-rendered or re-compressed, and Hushdesk does it all in this tab: the PDF is never uploaded.

Questions and answers
Does cropping delete the content outside the frame?
No. Cropping sets the visible area of the page; whatever lies outside is hidden but stays in the file and can be restored with a PDF editor. To remove sensitive information for good, use Redact PDF instead.
Will cropping make my PDF smaller?
Usually not, because the hidden part stays in the file. The page gets smaller on screen and on paper, not in megabytes.
Can I crop only some pages?
Yes. List them in the Pages field, for example 1, 4-6 or 2-z. Pages you leave out keep their original size.
How do I remove the white margins of a scanned book?
Enter the same margin for each side, check the result on one page and apply it to all of them. If odd and even pages differ, give those pages a frame of their own.
Does cropping work with rotated or landscape pages?
Yes. Top, bottom, left and right always mean the sides of the page as it appears on screen, whatever rotation is stored in the file.
How do I turn a page after cropping it?
Use Rotate PDF: it turns pages by 90° or 180° without touching their content.
