Limits on your device depend on its memory. Larger files may still work; the tool warns you first.

How it works

  1. 01 Choose an .html or .htm file (or several).
  2. 02 Select A4 or US Letter, and landscape under More options for wide tables.
  3. 03 Press Convert to PDF and wait a moment.
  4. 04 Download the PDF and check the notes about images that were left out.

About this tool

Many systems hand you an .html file: an order confirmation from a web shop, a receipt generated by accounting software, a test or coverage report, a wiki page exported for offline reading. Hushdesk reads the document structure and lays it out on A4 or US Letter pages: headings, paragraphs, tables with merged cells, lists, preformatted code, inline colours, alignment and font sizes. Images embedded in the file as PNG or JPEG data are drawn; anything the page would load from the internet is deliberately left out, because this converter never goes online. Scripts, trackers and hidden elements are dropped before layout.

  • Structure, not screenshots

The PDF contains real text in embedded PT fonts, so it is searchable, copyable and sharp at any zoom.

  • Tables survive

Header cells, colspan and rowspan, cell background colours and text alignment are carried over; wide tables can go landscape.

  • Offline by construction

External stylesheets, web fonts and remote images are omitted during conversion.

  • Active-content restrictions

The converter does not run document JavaScript and filters unsupported links. This is not a security audit of the source file.

Questions and answers

Will the PDF look exactly like the page in my browser?

Not always. The converter follows the document flow and inline styles, but it does not run CSS layout: columns built with flexbox or grid are stacked, and external stylesheets are ignored. For a pixel-exact copy of a live page, use your browser’s Print → Save as PDF instead.

Why are some pictures missing from my HTML-to-PDF result?

Images referenced by a web address or by a separate file next to the HTML cannot be loaded, because nothing is downloaded during conversion. Pictures stored inside the HTML as PNG or JPEG data URLs are included; others are replaced by their alt text when it exists.

Can I convert an HTML email or newsletter?

Save the email as an .html file first. Conversion omits remote images and tracking pixels; opening the source elsewhere or following links may contact third parties.

Do links in the HTML stay clickable?

Links to web pages, email addresses and phone numbers do, and so do links to headings inside the same document. Other link types are turned into plain text for safety.

Which character sets are supported?

UTF-8 and UTF-16, and legacy pages declared as Windows-1251, KOI8-R or another code page in their meta charset tag. Text is set in PT Sans, which covers Latin and Cyrillic alphabets.
