About this tool
Most document photos from phones and cameras are JPEG files, and the text in them is locked inside the pixels. Drop your JPG here and Hushdesk reads it with an OCR engine that runs locally in this browser tab. The photo is turned upright using its EXIF orientation, cleaned of compression noise and specks, and then the Russian or English text is recognized. You get the text in a copy-ready box and as a TXT download, together with a confidence score. Several JPGs of a multi-page document can be processed together and come out as one text in the order you choose. This local OCR is still in beta and runs slower on phones.

Questions and answers
Can I convert a photo of a receipt to text?
Yes, if the print is sharp. Thermal receipts fade quickly, so photograph them soon, flat and in good light; numbers with low confidence are worth checking.
Why is some text in my JPG recognized wrongly?
Common causes are blur, heavy JPEG compression, shadows, a curved page or very small letters. Retake the photo closer and straighter, or choose only the language the text is written in.
Is my JPG uploaded to a server?
No. The picture is read by an engine inside this browser tab, which has no network access; you can confirm that in the developer tools.
Can I extract text from several JPG files at once?
Yes, add up to 20 photos. Their text is joined in the order shown, with a blank line between photos.
